Founded in 1929, Louis Erard is a watchmaker that is filled with heritage and history. Acquired in the 1990s before it was relaunched during the independent watchmaking boom of the early 2000s, in 2003, the brand has established a strong design language that doesn't break the bank. Since then, Louis Erard has built a passionate customer base that continues to grow thanks to the popularity and success of their collaborative projects and impressive individual exploits. One of their most successful collaborations is with famed French designer and watchmaking industry veteran Alain Silberstein. Released in 2019 as Louis Erard's first collaboration with Alain Silberstein, the Regualtor is a ‘double first’ as Louis Erard puts it, as the brand had never given carte blance to a designer before in their 90 year history, and Alain Silberstein had never designed a regulator before. Offered as a limited edition collection of just two references with 178 pieces each, the watch we have here is the silver dial variant. Featuring a rather simple circular 40mm stainless steel case, the Regulator’s most striking detail is its dial. Sporting an incredibly unique display, the Le Régulateur’s silver dial features Alain's visual style in abundance. With multi-colored hands made from various shapes, the Le Régulateur blends yellow with red, blue and even grey to create a visual delight and allow each constituent of the regulator's display, and its power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock to remain clear, and legible.
